
We are celebrating our Military kids with a week worth of actvities. We are proud to be a Purple Star Designated School. Please have your children dress up everyday to honor our Military kids.


Parents, make plans to join us for our Spring Fine Arts concert.


Our annual REL Wheel day is coming on April 25th and we want all our parents to join their kids at this fun event, Please be sure your kids bring sun screen, helmet and knee pads and of course their bike. It'll be a memorable event.


Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students are set to take their STAAR tests beginning this week on Wednesday. We will have three consecutive weeks of testing, each week on Wednesday. We ask that parents bring their students to school on time and that they restrain from making Dr's appointments during the day on testing days. We know our Explorers are ready to excel.

PreK and Kinder students will be taking their graduation pictures on Friday, April 11. Photo packets have been sent out to parents to ensure all photos are paid in advance.


Registration is open for the 25-26 school year. It is easy to register but if you need help, please stop by our office and someone will be glad to help. Remember space is limited!


Our 3rd-5th grade students will be participating in their STAAR rally on Friday, April 4th. We ask that kids wear red, white and black. It'll be a fun time for them in preparation for the big test days coming up.


Easter Pictures will be taken Wednesday, April 2nd. Students are encouraged to wear their Sunday best for this day.


Our Awards Assemblies have been scheduled. We look forward to a successful end of year ceremony for each of our REL Explorers.


REL Washington will be having intersession the week of March 3-5. Spring break will continue until March 17th. Students are to return on March 18th. Have a restful and safe Spring Break!


We are excited to announce this week's attendance challenge. All students that are present and have no early releases this week will get entered into a raffle. The lucky winner will leave school on Friday with a family dinner for four!


In observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. YISD schools will be closed. Classes resume on Tuesday, Jan. 21st.


Christmas Program Schedules are set for the week of Dec. 16th. Please take note of when your child will participate.


Our fine arts program is set to occur on Monday, Dec. 16th at 2:15 p.m. Students in band and orquestra will be performing in the school gym and art students will host an art gallery in the school rotunda. We hope to see all parents here for this amazing time with our Explorers.


Friendly reminder to our REL parents that Santa pictures will be taken this Friday, Dec. 6th. Please be on the lookout for the order form, which will be coming home with your child today!

YISD will be closed in honor of Veterans Day on Monday, November 11th. Classes will resume on Tuesday, November 12th.


Important reminder that our students will be released at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31. Please be sure you make arrangements to pick up your child on time.


Thanksgiving Luncheon to be held on Wednesday, Nov. 20th. Tickets are sold online for $8 a plate. You may purchase two tickets per student. Please see the flyer for the lunch schedule by grade level.


It is that time of year again, Hanks High School's Annual Hanksgiving is right around the corner. This has been an ongoing tradition in our Hanks feeder pattern for 24 years! All elementary and middle schools that are in our feeder pattern are in charge of collecting different items. REL is in charge of collecting bags of white rice and green beans. We are asking for your help in collecting items until deadline on November 15th. Sixty-five baskets will be made and given to REL families in need. Our school is in charge of collecting green beans and rice this year. Please send items with your child before deadline of November 15th.


Parent-Teacher conferences are on Wednesday, Sept. 18th from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. We hope to see all parents here.
