Parkland High School student, Azra Rios-Carroll, holds the District 2-5A Champion plaque for UIL

The horns are up and the trophies are home! We are incredibly proud to announce that Parkland High School has secured its fourth consecutive title as UIL Academic Champions. This historic "4-Peat" solidifies our reputation as a powerhouse of intellect and dedication.

Across two weekends of intense competition—March 27th–28th and April 2nd–4th—our Matadors charged into Franklin High School and left an indelible mark on every category.

🧠 A Sweep of Excellence

Our students didn't just compete; they dominated. We saw championship-level performances across a diverse range of disciplines:

  • STEM: Science, Mathematics, and Computer Science.

  • Humanities: Social Studies, Literary Criticism, and Spelling.

  • Communication: Speech & Debate, Theatre, and Journalism.

  • Critical Thinking: Current Issues & Events and Ready Writing.

🛡️ The Matador Spirit

This achievement is a true testament to the dedication, talent, and tireless work of our outstanding students and our exceptional coaches. While the University of Texas at Austin created the UIL in 1910 to foster competition, our Matadors have turned it into a tradition of excellence that inspires the entire community.

"Winning once is a feat; winning four times is a culture. Our students and coaches have proven that hard work and academic rigor are the heartbeat of Parkland High."

Congratulations to all our competitors! Your commitment to excellence continues to push the boundaries of what it means to be a Matador. Here’s to continuing the tradition of success!
