Momentum Guard Team

The rhythm, the precision, and the passion were all on display this past weekend as our very own Momentum Guard dominated the floor.

Parkland High School is incredibly proud to announce that the Momentum Guard placed 1st at the West Texas Color Guard Association (WTCA) Socorro High School Competition on Saturday, March 21st. Facing off against talented teams from across the region, our performers delivered a powerhouse performance that earned them the highest marks of the day.

A Performance to Remember

Dressed in striking black and silver uniforms with vibrant, multi-colored accents, the team showcased a level of artistry and technical skill that left the judges and the audience breathless.

  • Flawless Execution: The guard displayed exceptional synchronization in their flag work and choreography.

  • Artistic Vision: The bold, tie-dye inspired details of their costumes popped against the gym floor, mirroring the energy of their routine.

  • Dedication Paid Off: This gold-medal finish is the result of countless hours of rehearsal and a relentless "momentum" toward excellence.

"The energy this team brings to every performance is electric," noted the Parkland Fine Arts supporters. "Seeing them take first place at such a competitive event is a true testament to their hard work and team spirit."

What’s Next for Momentum?

This victory fuels the fire as the team continues their season. With a first-place trophy now in the case, Parkland Momentum Guard is looking forward to carrying this "big win energy" into their upcoming performances.

Congratulations to all the performers, coaches, and parents who made this win possible. Go Matadors!
