On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, Parkland High School celebrated the outstanding achievements of two talented student artists who earned top honors at the SISD and Theta Delta Lambda Chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. Black History Month Art Show.

In the highly competitive High School Division, Parkland’s own Toni Barnes secured 2nd place, while Fabiola Burciaga earned 3rd place for their exceptional artwork. Both students, under the guidance of their art teacher, Mr. M. Licerio, showcased their artistic talents in a contest that honored Black history, culture, and contributions.

Their success highlights the dedication, creativity, and artistic excellence fostered at Parkland High School. Congratulations to Toni, Fabiola, and Mr. Licerio for their remarkable achievements!
