We are proud to announce that Aneesa Sandoval, an 11th grader at Parkland High School, has been selected as a student artist for this year’s Chalk the Block event! This annual festival, which celebrates creativity through street art, will take place from October 11th through 13th in Downtown El Paso.
Aneesa's application was accepted from a competitive pool of student artists, and she will have the exciting opportunity to showcase her chalk art to the community. As part of her participation, she is eligible for various prizes, including:
- Student Stipend: $100 (awarded upon completing the piece)
- Best of Student Prize: $500
- Best of Show Prize: $2,000
- People's Choice Award: $1,000 Savings Account Certificate by Raiz Federal Credit Union
