We are thrilled to announce that Eastwood Heights Elementary has officially earned the Lone Star Bronze Award from the Lone Star State School Counselor Association (LSSSCA)!
This prestigious recognition confirms that our school counseling program, led by our dedicated counselor, Mrs. Serrano meets the high standards for being a comprehensive, data-driven, and student-focused program. The LSSSCA’s award system recognizes programs that demonstrate excellence in areas like Annual Student Outcome Goals, Classroom and Group Action Plans, and Closing-the-Gap efforts, all aligned to the national ASCA Model.
The LSSSCA Lone Star Award serves as the first step on the "Road to RAMP," a process designed to elevate school counseling departments toward national recognition.
The Lone Star Awards Committee praised our program as "an example for other counseling departments to follow" and stated that ALL students deserve professional school counseling programs like ours.
